The SBI Foundation (SBIF) has released a Request for Proposals (RFP) under its flagship Muskaan program, inviting eligible NGOs to submit innovative, impactful proposals focused on child development. With a generous budget, long-term support, and a wide thematic scope—from early childhood care to combating child sexual abuse—this initiative is tailor-made for non-profits with experience and passion in the child development space.
This blog provides a comprehensive overview of the SBIF Muskaan funding opportunity for NGOs in RFP 2025, covering everything from eligibility requirements and proposal deadlines to the types of projects being funded
What Is SBIF Muskaan? Funding Opportunity for NGO
SBIF Muskaan is SBI Foundation’s dedicated initiative for Child Development, introduced to address the multiple, often interconnected vulnerabilities children face across India—especially in rural and under-resourced urban areas.
The program aligns with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and seeks to:
Improve early childhood care and education
Promote child-friendly infrastructure
Address child sexual abuse through awareness and legal support
Strengthen Child Care Institutions (CCIs) with sustainable models
